Venue

As the tournament is held at Värmlands Nation, a restaurant with a license to serve alcohol, it is strictly prohibited to bring any food or drinks of your own.

Team creation

  • At least 120K for team creation (teams with highest tier gets more gold, see below).
  • All inducements are allowed. A team needs 11 ordinary players to buy Star players.

Tiers

  1. 120K: Wood Elf, Undead, Lizardmen
  2. 122K: Amazon, Dark Elf, Chaos Dwarf, Dwarf, Skaven, Norse, Orc
  3. 125K: Necromantic, Elf, Khemri
  4. 128K: Slann, Chaos Pact, High Elf, Vampire, Nurgle, Chaos, Human
  5. 130K: Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Underworld

Skills

  • Skills are bought with the team. Normal skills cost 20K, double skills cost 30K.
  • A player may only get one extra skill - i.e. no stacking.
  • Skills must be clearly marked on the models.

Marquis of Queensberry rule

This rule applies to all teams except those in tier 5.

A player cannot buy the Block skill unless another player in the team first buys the Wrestle skill. To buy a second Block the team needs two players with Wrestle and so on. Count only the bought "extra" skills (not skills that come with the player position).

Game play

  • Games are played according to the Competitions Rules Pack (CRP) including the new teams, Slann, Underworld and Chaos Pact.
  • All games are played without post-match procedures and thus without winnings, player purchases etc.
  • All injuries and earned star player points are waived after each game. So each game starts with the same players on the roster. (Resurrection)
  • Illegal Procedure is only used if both coaches agree to use it.

Pairing

Round 1 mirror match up as far as possible. Those coaches without a mirror match will get a random match up instead. Round 2-6 Swiss Draw.

Time

The four minute rule is not enforced, but if the game is not proceeding according to the time schedule, the referee may issue a timer. The referee can issue a timer, or battle clock, with a fixed turn-time. Should one player ignore this, that player will automatically concede his game.

Dice

If a Coach cannot accept your dice, you must play with standard dice. Standard dice are:

  • 2 regular D6
  • 3 official NAF Block dice
  • 1 regular D8

If a Coach request to use your dice, you must "share" dice.

Etiquette

It is not allowed to interfere in other coaches games, unless to point out violations of the rules.

You must allow your opponent to mark the players in your team to recognise them (without damaging the miniatures, of course).
